The Story of Margaret Ma Murray Community School.

We first opened our doors in 2018.  Our school is named after Margaret Ma Murray, Margaret was a dedicated and inspiring journalist, who went on to be the co-founder and editor of the Alaska Highway Newspaper.  At the core of our school is the Bella Yahey Gathering Space.  This is named after Bella Yahey. Bella was an elder from the Blueberry River First Nations, known for her kind and nurturing nature.  She was the keeper of the traditional stories and had a prominent role as the educator in her community.
